Argan the Warrior #3
The band of warriors divided themselves, half encircling the village watching outward, while the others organized the bodies for proper internment. Due to the defilement of their bodies by the giants, they would be purified by cremation first, then the bones buried in a ceremony when they were able.
The prince and his senior warriors sat with the girl, listening to her tale. Argan, his guards, and Kaz sat on the opposite side of the circle across from her as she spoke.
“The giants came in the early morning,” said the young woman. Her name was Saqqarah and she was the sixteen year old daughter of the chief of the recently formed Blue Eagle Clan. “They were so quiet we did not hear them, even the men who watched were unable to alert anyone. I do not know, but I think they killed those men first, before they came in the village. When they came in the village, the alarm went up but it was too late.”
