Kaz Chapter 14
Battling the Giants
Khangah the giant and his band of more than a dozen charged out of hiding places they had crept into while the humans were busily fighting the dragons. The giants pounded their way up to the cave, smashing past warriors as they raced up the hill.
One of the warriors near Onda shouted, “They were supposed to be miles away!”
As they watched, a warrior rose with a spear to fight them. A giant behind Khangah backhanded the man with such a blow that the sound of shattering bones was audible all the way up to the cave. The giant lifted the broken man’s body in one hand, grinned at man’s pain filled face, then chomped down on the top of his skull, shattering it with a loud pop. It sucked out his brain and tossed the body aside all while on the run.
Men on the lower defensive position fired a rapid storm of arrows into them. Some rushed forward with spear and blade but were brushed aside as the giants raced up the mou…
