Mickey Moss
A short story about a possible past
Mickey Moss is a short short story I wrote for an anthology called Fresh Kills (still available at Amazon and in audio on SCRIBL where it started life as a podcast episode way back when) that was put together by the authors of The Kill Zone blog in 2009. It was my first published story and I felt like I had been given a boost by those other experienced writers. It is a story of a possible past that leads to a parallel present. A world not unlike our own, but for one historical modification. This is a dark picture of a world that thankfully was redirected in its infancy, but such evil never truly dies, it only rests between storms of blood. Here it is again, fifteen years later, cleaned up and edited a bit for your modern enjoyment.
