An Old Man Remembers How to Kill

I wrote this short story in 2012 as part of the anthology titled Geeks Rule. It was based on the stories of a couple of old men I had met many years earlier who gave me the distinct impression they had not been mere “motor pool mechanics” as they claimed during their military days in the 1950s. They had wonderful families and were active in church and their grandkid’s schools, but there was a story beneath that, something they had been part of long before they met their wives. Something they never told to any but one another and only very seldom.

So they became, Red Ghost.
