Retired Foreign Legionnaire Basil de Sables. Forced to retire from the French Legion, 3e Régiment Étranger de Parachutistes, when his commanders stated that he had fulfilled his quota of neutralized enemies and was no longer authorized to kill for France.
He moved to Alaska, where he started the first (and only) Scout Troop to issued merit badges in "Booby Trap Construction and Identification", "SERE" and his own martial art known within the Legion as "Recon by Knife".
It was rumoured that while stationed in French Guyana in 1976 he had discovered:
"le fontaine de jouvence dont les eaux apportaient une force et une vigueur inimaginables ainsi qu'un goût inextinguible et tout aussi inexplicable au thé Lapsang Suchong"
which roughly translates to:
"the fountain of youth whose waters provided unimaginable strength and vigor as well as an unquenchable, and equally inexplicable taste for Lapsang Suchong tea".
